ETLAB – Energy Transition Laboratory researches methods and technologies supporting the transition toward low-carbon, digitalized electricity systems.
The lab works on transmission and distribution networks planning and operation, smart grid management, active distribution networks, local flexibility markets, renewable energy integration, microgrids, green hydrogen, and AI-driven tools for asset management, state estimation, and resilient grid control.
Its mission is to generate scientific knowledge and operational solutions supporting TSOs, DSOs and energy companies in managing complex, decarbonized power systems — bridging mathematical modeling with real-world applicability through collaboration with leading industrial partners.
ETLab is pleased to announce that Professor Alessandro Bosisio has been accepted to join the CIRED Working Group on Artificial Intelligence in Electricity Distribution Networks
ETLab has been selected to participate in the National Working Group on the valorization of flexibility enabled by Charging Infrastructure Controllers (CIR), an initiative promoted by RSE (Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico)
ETLab will participate in ICCEP 2027 in Loano, Italy, from 15–17 June 2027, featuring a special session chaired by Professor Alessandro Bosisio.
