Biography

Katherine Mariana Andrade Acosta Ph.D student in Electrical Engineering at Pavia University

Research activity focuses on hydrogen production technologies, electrolyzer integration in industrial power systems, RMS and EMT network analyses, power system stability, and the planning and operation of electrical distribution systems for modern industrial plants.

Katherine Mariana Andrade Acosta received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 2011 and 2014 respectively.

She is Electrical Network Studies & Methodologies Specialist at Tecnimont, Italy. Her previous employment experience includes Nema Srl, TMC Transformers and Hitachi. In 2019 she became part of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Tecnimont Company in Milan, Italy.

She is currently attending her industrial Ph.D  in Electrical Engineering at Pavia University. Her research focuses on the latest technologies in electrolyzers for hydrogen production and utilization, particularly examining their impact on RMS and EMT network analyses required for planning the electrical distribution systems of industrial plants.
