Biography

Academic PhD Student

She received her B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering – Power from Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, Iran, and her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran, where her research focused on energy management of load-serving entities through incentive-based demand response programs. She graduated among the top students of her Master's program. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at the University of Pavia, Italy.

Her research focuses on the optimal operation of distribution networks and congestion management through flexibility markets, with particular emphasis on distributed energy resources, flexible demand, coordinated distribution system operation, and simulation-based analysis using advanced power system tools.

Her research interests include power system operation and planning, smart grids, renewable energy systems, microgrids, demand response, energy management, congestion management, optimization techniques, electricity markets, flexibility markets, and ancillary services. Her recent work investigates the participation of industrial flexible loads in electricity markets under network, photovoltaic generation, energy storage, and uncertainty constraints through mathematical optimization approaches based on Python, Pyomo, and CPLEX.

Prior to joining the University of Pavia, she conducted research on demand response programs, peak shaving strategies, electricity market participation, network reconfiguration, power system flexibility, and cyber-physical security issues, including false data injection attacks. She also gained professional experience in high-voltage substation protection and control systems, grid connection studies, photovoltaic feasibility analysis, and electrical design. Her technical expertise includes power system simulation, optimization, and data analysis tools such as Python, pandapower, Pyomo, CPLEX, GAMS, MATLAB, and DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
