Biography

Academic PhD Student

He received his B.Sc. in Energy Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2019 and his M.Sc. in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2023. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Pavia.

His research focuses on optimization methodologies for ancillary services provided by renewable energy sources and energy storage systems, aiming to support the integration of renewable generation into modern power systems. His work combines mathematical modeling, stochastic optimization, electricity market analysis, and data-driven approaches for transmission and distribution networks.

His research interests include electricity market modeling and forecasting, climate-informed generation modeling, predictive maintenance of power system assets, machine learning applications, and optimization techniques for modern transmission and distribution systems. Particular attention is devoted to the development of advanced analytical tools for utility-scale power systems operating under uncertainty.

Since 2025, he has been carrying out a research placement in the Asset Management Department of EDP Renewables, contributing to innovative solutions for renewable energy asset management. In 2026, he joined the University of Birmingham as a Visiting Researcher, expanding his international research experience.

He has collaborated with industrial and research partners including Terna, Unareti, and RSE on projects related to electricity markets, transmission and distribution networks, and asset management. At the University of Pavia, he also contributes to teaching activities through graduate-level lectures and tutorials on optimization techniques using Python.
